                                   Pawpower Racing Sled Dog Team

Thank you for visiting the page of Pawpower Racing sled dog team!  Pawpower Pet Supply's owners, Rob & Kathy Worden, own, train, race and love approximately 40 Alaskan Huskies.  Alaskan Huskies are a breed of dog that have been bred for strength, speed and endurance and have been seen racing in the Iditarod.

Rob will be training for and attending the Alaskan Sprint Racing Circuit, primarily focusing on the Fur Rendezvous and ONAC races this year (the 2011/2012 race season).  We have received outstanding support from our customers and wish to thank each and every one of you!   We could not do this without you and our wonderful employee, Regina, who will assist Kathy in operating the store while Rob is away.
(can you guess who wrote this?)

In order to be successful at these races, he has started training and will be going through a lot of dog food, booties, collars and some other essentials soon.  His goal is to obtain $15,000 in sponsorship money to be able to afford his dream.   Another way to sponsor his team is to participate in the BARK program.  BARK = buy a round of kibble.  Just give us a call and tell us you'd like to buy a bag or bags of the Nutrisource Super Premium kibble for our racing team.  (only comes in 40lb. bags)   315 963-7387.

Shirts, bandanas, bracelets and dog tags are available for purchase in the store.   In addition, you can purchase raffle tickets ($5.00 each) for a chance to win a white water rafting trip with B.O.B. Rafting Company for you and 3 other people!!!!  (A $250 value.  Drawing in January of 2012)  Stop by the store for more details!!

Update: Dec 19, 2011 - Thanks in part to your generosity, Rob is close to having the funds he needs to go to Alaska.  It has been quite the challenge to train sled dogs in this less than stellar weather and warm temps this year but he is still determined to make it to the Open North American Championships.  We want to again, Thank You for your generosity and support of both the store and Rob's dream.  Happy Holidays to all!
